OUR STORY

O’Keeffe Contracting is powered by two partners in life, business, and parenting. Greg’s experience in the construction & trades industries paired with Sharon’s accounting and finance background means we can operate from a place of professionalism and expertise combined with family values.

Work and life balance has always been an important initiative for Greg and Sharon, as parents to two young children, they value the fact that running their own business allows them more quality time spent with the kids. They moved to Gibsons in 2022, and spend their spare time outdoors adventuring with their little ones. Connecting with fellow families and community involvement plays an important part of their everyday lives.

For Greg and Sharon, seeing the quality of their completed projects first hand and client satisfaction is of utmost importance.

  • Greg hails originally from Ireland and immigrated to Canada in 2012. He is both a Journeyman Carpenter and a Red Seal Electrician, and has close to 20 years of experience in the trades. Since his move to Canada Greg has worked in commercial high rise and residential construction as a Foreman and Superintendent, and has also worked throughout BC as a Superintendent in the utility and hydro sector. In his off-hours Greg spends quality time with his family and is an avid mountain biker.

  • Sharon was born and raised in North Vancouver and loves the community-driven west coast lifestyle that the Sunshine Coast provides. Sharon brings over a decade of financial and accounting experience to the table, having spent most of her career working in the Municipal Government finance sector. She has her CPA; CGA certification, and applies this valuable experience to the successful running of O’Keeffe Contracting. She finds working on the family business extremely rewarding and appreciates how it provides more flexibility and presence for the kids. Sharon loves exploring the Sunshine Coast with Greg and the kids, and living close to Bonniebrook beach.
